Guys update as of 6th july 2024:
Recently, ICICI has disable fuel transactions on their fastags. DYOR before loading bulk amt in ICICI tags
Update 7th August 2024:
Courtesy @Sriim for the ICICI tag holders to enable options of fuel by ICICI tags:
You need to login to ICICI etoll website using your fastag customer ID and password. It will show up fuel enabled yes or no in one of the tag detail menu options

It's clear from ICICI that we cannot use Amazon Pay ICICI fastag for fuel payments. I have marked emails to multiple addresses related to ICICI the response was same from all of them
One member has mentioned using Amazon Fastag for fuel payments.

However, he as not mentioned the date when it was issued as new and old are relative terms which loses meaning soon.

For the fasttags purchased after 16 March 2024: If the purpose of purchasing APay ICICI FastTag was to use for fuel payments on HP Pay App, then it is better to get a standalone ICICI FastTag and recharge that FastTag using Amazon Pay balance (through razorpay payment gateway on ICICI fasttag portal).

Can you please share when did you got the Amazon Fastag?

I had received around a year ago and customer care is denying that it is not allowed for co-branded Fastag.

Interestingly ICICI recently asked me to verify RC, long after issuing the fastag, which is weird because Fastag are not issued without RC.
Seems like another ICICI KYC issue which could be common as I have not searched for it.
February 2022 .

So there could be two things at play here:
- Either ICICI is denying for FASTags issued on and after 2024 (approx)
- OR ICICI is not enabling fuel payments for new requests (even if the FASTag was issued in 2022)

1. Fuel payments can be enabled on Apay ICICI fastag purchased before 16 March 2024.
2. Fuel payments can't be enabled on Apay ICICI fastag purchased after 16 March 2024
3. Fuel payments can be enabled on ICICI fastag (non Apay) purchased anytime

Is 16 March 2024 cutoff confirmed with Amazon or ICICI OR are we simply speculating because FASTags issued after that date are default linked with Amazon Pay balance?

It was around that time that icici disabled fuel payments on all fastags and we had to enable it by calling/emailing customer care. They manually enabled for old Apay ICICI fastag while they didn't for new (issued around 16 March 2024) Apay ICICI fastag.

Fuel payments on new non Apay ICICI fastag was confirmed by someone in the community.
