How can i make streaming server?

I watch videos online with some friends online together through https://w2g.tv/en/ and what i want to do is to make a .mp4 etc like streamable link for my stored videos. I have ubuntu desktop and android and want to use either one to make something like that so that i can watch it through direct link of video in watch2gether.

Kodi also helps you but require higher resources.

I hope you're aware that both server and client must be connected with decent internet speed to stream without buffer and server should be always available with powered on.

If that is not manageable (due to internet, electricity etc.), try cloud services - some of them like pcloud offer generous storage data for less price but be cautious pirated content always leads cancellation in this case.
