what card did you block...i was under impression that we're talking about sapphire visa signature variant here.

In BoB if you block any card they will not charge from the next cycle. The rule isn't card based. Every card behaves same.

i dont trust the bank employees...many times they dont know what they're talking about....when did you block the card btw?

I blocked 2 baroda dc last year and no charge since then. Hope you are happy with the answer.

There is difference between CC & DC permanent blocking. When you block CC permanently & not closing it, then your account is still open, you will incur annual charges still, Though once upon a time it happened with my SBI card CC, they instead of closing , simply blocked it permanently, but later they had to reverse annual charges after RBI bamboo. However, for debit card, there is no such account concept, when you block it permanently without getting a new card, it means no annual charges thereafter. Some banks (Canara) will charge you for blocking card(hot listing) as well which is different thing. Hope it clarifies.
