Here’s how I respond to a review scammer

Maybe collecting upi IDs / account details is part of their job, and they have successfully executed. Just a guess.

I block those spammer whenever I encounter any of such kind of msgs with reporting as scam / fraud.
UPI id was number, which they already had 🤣🤣🤣

Based on id they will get bank account details including full name, account number, ifsc, branch etc.

If that work out to be a bank they have an agent then, no wonder they will get signature as well. Rest, it's a fascinating story in making.
If that works out like this, then millions of people are can be robbed in day light.

I generally look at Google Reviews by Local Guides who have a lot of reviews and photos and whose reviews look like they are written by normal humans and not by Shashi Tharoor.

Recently when looking at a couple of hotel reviews I found very nicely worded reviews with the heading - "Here is a positive review of Hotel XYZ - " followed by the actual review. The dumb paid reviewer did not even bother to hide the AI prompt. A sloppy copy+paste job, if there was one.

Oyo's / Collection O's reviews seem to be the most fake ones. This scamster in this case seemed to be moonlighting i.e. doing 2 jobs - 1) Offer paid positive reviews to establishments 2) Scam people who actually gave positive reviews in return for payment!

I have received such messages in the past; they are all peacefully resting in the archive. The best thing to do is ignore them!
