HDFC Smartpay CC bill payment disaster.

I faced the same issue through SBI YONO's Standing Instructions(SI), I had set up 3 SI to pay the bills for my credit cards belonging to other banks. In the previous 2 months, the 3 SI's were honoured and credit card bills were paid on the 26th, 28th and 30th for them. But last month(May), none of the bills got generated in time. I had a calendar reminder, so i checked and paid all 3 bills myself on 28th night. Then on 29th, the 1st bill got generated and auto debited from account, just 1 day before the last payment day, others aren't generated till now.
I had a surgery on 30th, so just imagine if i hadn't noticed this and was busy dealing with the medical stuff

Are you using the SBI VDC by any chance am planning to apply - any suggestions or pointers would be helpful - like how much CB and virtual or physical DC is better. thanks!

Reward rate is 0.25% and once you complete 1L in total payments, it becomes 0.50% due to milestone benefit of 1000 pts people receive.

Currently as SBI stopped VDC extra 2 points, it doesn't matter if you use Physical or virtual card for payment.

Smartbuy just scheduled my last month's IDFC First bank bill payment which was fully paid off using Smartbuy only. What amazing systems!

Nothing like such with SBI. Just pay your bill anywhere which allows payment through debit card. Use your SBI PDC/VDC and that's all. Autopay thing is only for HDFC ESP on smartpay where you can use HDFC cards only not others.

Alll banks give due date +3 days grace period, don't worrey, your payment should reach the card with in 3 days of its due date. If the last date of payment is 21 June, you have time till 24 June with out any charge and negative impact.
