HDFC Salary Account Debit Card Charges Query

Hi everyone,

I recently opened an HDFC salary account and received the Instant Debit Card, which is a Platinum card. According to the HDFC website, this card has a ₹750 annual fee, which I’d like to avoid. I’m looking for a HDFC card with the best rewards and offers, but it needs to be completely free of any annual fees.

Also please tell me how can i apply for any of these cards without going to branch

Can anyone recommend a good HDFC card that is free, offers solid rewards, and won’t have any hidden fees?

Also, I haven’t generated my card’s PIN yet, but today I received this message from HDFC:
“Activated: HDFC Bank Instant Debit Card XXXX. Note: Card is disabled for Ecom, Tap\&Pay & International transactions. Enable”

And this email:
“Dear Customer, Congratulations on receiving your HDFC Bank Instant Debit Card! We are happy to inform you that your HDFC Bank Instant Debit Card (XXXX) linked with Account (XX) is now active as per your request.”

Do you think I’ll be charged any "hot listing" fee if I order a new card based on your recommendation?

As far as I know, all DCs are free in HDFC salary account.

I have not been charged a single Rs in last 6 years for Platinum DC earlier or Millennia DC now..

All HDFC Debit Cards including Imperia (tier version of Platinum) except Infiniti is absolutely free until the a/c is marked as Salary a/c and salary gets credited in a timely manner. You will get best benefits with Millennia DC which gives 1% cashback for wallet loading.
