As i have not personally faced can't say for sure. most people did not get core BUTT, some people did get core after cobrand with difficulty.
Tabulate your needs for uses of card. Decide on that. like cornhub has so many genres but what i use to orgasam is up to me not by others. Also don't watch corn videos in public it's a crime.

as of now the only way to get core card after co branded is to get freedom from paytm which is very hard to upgrade in future.
