HDFC Pre-Approved Freedom Card Rejected – Looking for Re-evaluation Help

I recently faced an issue with a pre-approved HDFC credit card offer and need some clarity on how to get it re-evaluated. My Relationship Manager informed me over call that I had pre-approved offers for the Freedom, Swiggy, and IndianOil credit cards. He said a token had already been generated on the DSE system, showing a credit limit of ₹80,000–₹90,000 and that the Freedom Card was lifetime free.


I specifically asked if I could apply through NetBanking or Xpressway, but he mentioned the offer was only visible on their internal system. Based on that, he applied for the Freedom Card on my behalf.


A few days later, I was informed that the application had been rejected. Now, when I check my NetBanking offers, it shows a completely different card offer — just ₹40,000 limit and ₹500 annual fee.


Looking for advice on how to get this re-evaluated or escalated. Has anyone faced something similar or found a way to resolve it?

You should definitely ask the reason why it is rejected by mailing Grievance Redressal; they will probably tell you the exact reason. I was in a similar situation, as my pre-approved Millennia LTF credit card was declined due to the location not being serviceable. Though I was approved for a Freedom card last year, I didn't activate the card, so it was closed automatically after 35 days. I had to wait for a year to get the pre-approved credit card from HDFC, and now the loop continues till next year till I get the pre-approved credit card.

Mail them & ask for reconsideration. Maybe your card will get approval if the location is serviceable along with a good credit profile.
 
Ask RM why it was rejected and if he doesn't help then first write to escalation.cc@hdfcbank.com and wait for generic reply and then mail to Grievance.Redressalcc@hdfcbank.com
If it was rejected because of negative CPV then ask them to re-initiate.
RM asked for the rejection email. Sent him the ss. He's still saying that he'll get it approved. I've already written an email to CS, let's wait for a reply. This different limit shown in my nb and his system, is there any truth to it?

I've also waited for a year to get this pre approved cc. My location is serviceable to the best of my knowledge.
