Card network has nothing to do with card upgrades. An upgrade offer of any network can come on a card from any other network.
ONLY fresh application as of now or HDFC taking upgrade request from existing card ?
Do Millennia in other network and This UPI basic features are same ?
AFAIK, You will get 5% on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ etc using UPI too.
HDFC doesn’t officially mention this anywhere and even customer care isn’t aware of it. But for other HDFC RuPay Credit Cards on UPI, we’ve seen that higher rewards/cashback are given even on UPI transactions, on specific merchants where accelerated rewards/cashback are applicable.
For other merchants, you’ll get the default 1% reward/cashback via UPI + 1% extra on milestone (total 2%).

Note - The Millennia RuPay credit card was launched recently, so the customer care team might not be aware of the Millennia RuPay Credit Card. You’ll have to send proof and explain it to them yourself. It’s also possible that it may take a few weeks or months for RuPay Millennia conversion to reflect in HDFC’s system, but obviously, if you’re reading this in the future, the Millennia RuPay conversion must have been updated in HDFC’s system by then.

There’s nothing like that. On top of that, the bank itself acts mad trying to give upgraded Visa cards to RuPay users.

If we request network conversion, is it counted as a newly issued card? With PhonePe HDFC Ultimo just around the corner, I don't want it denied just because I got RuPay Millennia 😛
Also Visa Signature variant of this card has BookMyShow BOGO 300 benefit and gives Times Prime also so choose your network wisely
I hope HDFC won't show so much attitude as Axis is showing when we request to switch to Airtel RuPay 🙄

Here another guy have Millennia Diners club and Moneyback+ RuPay.
He got Moneyback+ RuPay to Millennia RuPay upgrade option.
Now he hold 2 millennia Credit Card, 1st Diners club millennia and 2nd RuPay Millennia Credit Card.
