Does HDFC bank issue free debit cards to both the account holders, if Savings Max account is held jointly by them?

If Yes, are we allowed to have Millennia DC for one account holder and Platinum DC for another account holder?

I already have the Max account with Millennia DC. Want to make it joint with a family member. If Platinum DC is given to the second account holder (as it is the default DC for Max A/c) then I can get the benefits of both the cards.

Yes you can issue for second holder too but this one is having the AMC though ISSUANCE is free

U can have only 1 dc in hdfc. Either 1 u can take. Tell them u dont want platinum n want to keep Millennia

It will be chargeable, and you can have only 1 DC active.

One active DC per account is correct. But any DC upto the entitlement (i.e. Platinum here) is free (including Millennia).

@SamPtnk got charged for it, and he is still fighting with bank as far as I know.

@JethalalGada also confirmed recently, and he got told the same.

It was free previously, now new saving max user is getting it charged. Don't know why though. Old customers are still enjoying it free.
