Yes I faced the same issue. Went for direct payment on website through Plat Travel.

I made direct payment on website in the month of August this year through Plat Travel.

I bought through Ditto and they don't support AMEX.

I'm going through them for the renewal and I think I can ask for a direct link via Ditto from HDFC.

Ditto does not offer payment gateway for renewals. They will ask you to contact the Insurer directly

You’ll get reminder mails with renewal link from HDFC itself. Try razorpay gateway if available. I had made payment through the same.

I need to change my plan as well. So, I'll be going through Ditto.

Just to update here.

I am also migrating my policy to another one and the amount is hefty because I'm paying for multiple years.

There's no option to pay via Amex or Amazon when you get the link from HDFC Ergo. Axis anyway won't give any rewards.

I've reached out to Ditto to ask HDFC for an alternative link.

FWIW, I paid HDFC ERGO health insurance using Amazon pay balance via https://www.hdfcergo.com/renew-hdfc-ergo-policy using the Billdesk option under wallet and then selecting Amazon pay on the Billdesk page. Paying via BBPS on amazon.in did not work for me.

Looks like I'll have to take the L because they're not accepting Amex or Amazon Pay.

Using Atlas is pointless.

I'll try Amazon Pay and hopefully get 1% back.

Today i paid renewal premium from HDFC ergo website using Apay wallet (12% from Infinia, 5% from SBI CB card).
HDFC Ergo Renewal Site -> enter credentials/OTP etc -> payment page -> Wallet -> BillDesk -> Apay -> Done

Looks like they added the Amazon gift card option recently. Back when I was renewing in September, they didn't have that option.
