DCB HDFC Diners Black card denied despite having 5L limit.

Hi people,

My current limit on a HDFC CC is 5L. I wrote to grievance team to request for an upgrade to Diners Black. They said I was not eligible as per the bank's internal criteria. Is there any way to get this upgrade?

I am holding Business Moneyback Card
I didn't spend much on this card because of its low reward rate.
I am an Imperia banking customer.
I clearly explained them that I spent good enough on my other CCs and yet they said I was not eligible.

In my situation, I was offered the same business money back card earlier but didn't choose it, tricked HDFC & waited patiently for new offer. After 4-6 months I got new offer with Millennia which I wanted. Since HDFC wants users to do every spend on their card, then only they entertain upgrades & limit enhancement. And one should have good rewarding card to spend. That's why I choose millennia as first card.

It'll take me few years i.e. 2-3 years to get till Infinia with this traction.

I think hdfc business cards are not eligible to upgrade to DCB/Infinia.

Dcb is getting further devalued?. What's the point of having 10k membership other than 3.3% reward rate?. Smartbuy daily limit is still 2500

Welcome to HDFC. This bank have no respect for their loyal customers as they dont follow their own banks internal criteria

No idea i got this information when i was speaking about my cards with product team

I got the DCB as an upgrade to Regalia just today, any ETA on change? Curious to know if my welcome benefits will change or how it will work if I activate the card now, or hold off if the changes is in a few days?

Hi,
Having 5L limit is not the only criteria, you have to spend approximately 4L in last 6 months.
so I'd suggest you to spend some amount using your hdfc card and then ask for upgrade.

In my opinion ask for business ragalia first then in the next 6 months use your business ragalia to spend 4 lakhs and then ask for DCB upgrade. This way you will get some return for you spendings.

LTF/ FYF? How / what avenue? Dates etc? Alumni program ending dates? After?
Please share more contextual details & numericals and timelines so that people may try to replicate how you went about it.
