HDFC Blocked Account Without Valid Reason

Hello,

My Mother opened a savings bank account on 11th june 2025. She is a senior citizen. Due to some technical difficulties, She was unable to complete the Video KYC. On 13th June She completed full KYC at the Branch and account got activated successfully. She then transfer funds to her account which is basically her life long savings. on 12th June She made a small 377 rs UPI transaction and on 13th june HDFC blocked her account any valid reasons. She contacted the Branch they said they sent many emails but no luck so far.

She also raised a complaint by posting on X and got a case registered. But still no luck. Any ideas guys how to unblock the account? Any help will be helpful. Does anyone know the MD helpdesk of HDFC bank?
 
Physically visit the branch manager. Give written complaint. Take acknowledgement(ask for xerox of complaint or take photo with signature of employees)
File grievance at hdfc portal. Wait 7 days.
Most probably it is just kyc issue for newly created account. As hdfc has billions of different systems for single thing without any interconnection between them.
Take a lesson and don't keep all money in one account. Keep atleast 3 two should be public.

Did she transacted to some merchant ?
 
If account is activated only on 13th June, how she could have done UPI transaction on 12th June itself?
A new HDFC account starts functioning immediately after opening online, even if the video KYC isn’t completed. I used one such HDFC account for an entire year without completing the KYC, and it worked like a normal account until the bank eventually closed it after a year.
