Hdfc bill pay debit card

I am unable to pay my credit card bill with debit card through hdfc bill pay( both mobile and net banking). It says verification pending is that the reason I can't pay the bill or some other reason it fails when I try to pay

I think I found a proper solution. I added my 2 CC to HDFC last week, which was still showing pending activation. I tried paying the CC bill from the HDFC app but it failed. So I tried to pay through the HDFC website and Viola both the card payments went through and got activated. Maybe try this method.
