HDFC Bank IRCTC card as Floater Request - Discussion

I have 4 cards from HDFC..
Regalia, tata neu infinity, irctc and swiggy..
Irctc i applied as a floater card by offline mode while I was already holding regalia and tata neu.
In fact HDFC escalation team asked me to apply it as a floater card via offline route when I was not able to apply for the irctc card via online route.
They first rejected the floater card application but after some mails card was approved.

Is IRCTC still worth after confirmkt charges ?
Did u apply via RM ? Any income docs shared via offline method.
I tried but hdfc cc team told not possible. I already have DCP/Swiggy/Infinity ...
I applied via credit card team in nearby branch. So go to the branch ask for floater application form for irctc card and sending that form should work.
I need to look at the recent changes of confirmtkt as I haven't booked ticket for a few months.

You filled the form from branch and sent to hdfc chennai thru post ?
No income docs are required..
My form was sent by branch credit card guy directly.. I went to the branch and fill the form for floater card and rest was taken care by credit card team of the branch.
I just checked smartBuy for train tickets and I didnt see a lot of problems.
3125 was the ticket cost and I need to pay 3160 extra is IRCTC convenience fee.
IRCTC card gives 5% points and 5% cashback which will be total around 310 rupees.
am I missing something which is making IRCTC card useless?

How u got this page...have they removed confrmtkt integration?? Which card do you own ...!!?and did u did this booking on payzapp app or smartbuy website
I have HDFC IRCTC card which I utilize for the booking.
Above is link for booking of train tickets using the privilege of HDFC IRCTC card where you get 5% points + 5% cashback..
Here I dont see any difference between booking from above mentioned portal and booking from IRCTC. Price is almost same.
Am I missing something or were you using some other portal for the booking?
In fact, you get 5% points + 5% cashback only from this portal.
So I am not seeing any devaluation of HDFC IRCTC card.
Please let me know what portal are you utilizing where you are seeing confrmtkt integration as above mentioned portal is directly linked with your IRCTC ID.

I am using the typical payzapp app which uses smartbuy....on that irctc used to be the vendor....now they have changed to confrmtkt.....it charges payment gateway charges as well as agent charges extra...and it's some percentage of ticket booking..not fixed....
The link u shared on that u can only use hdfc irctc card......no other hdfc card ....on normal hdfc card portal vendor is confrmtkt...

You can pay using other cards as well on the same portal.. I just saw on the same portal.
following is the screenshot where I can enter any card details for the transaction.
May be you can try the same next time.

I just tried using my Swiggy card/moneyback plus/pixel card....it's giving error...enter hdfc irctc credit/debit card

Okkzz.. so it seems smartbuy have confirmtkt but irctc card is directly integrated with IRCTC..
So in that way irctc card is a good option to consider for ticketing as there is no extra charges of confirmtkt...

Yes but irctc card is a paid card and hdfc never gives it ltf ..where as earlier u could get 5% with smartbuy on ltf cards ...I have left booking on smartbuy all together....using Amazon pay card now 2% with just 40 rs agent charges...
