Have you ever bought any large appliance from Flipkart? If so, how was your experience?

I'm planning to buy a new LG 398 L double-door refrigerator from Flipkart, as it is unavailable on Amazon. I've never bought any large appliance from there, so a bit nervous. I don't want to buy from local shops, as I've had much worse experiences there.

If you've bought any large appliance from Flipkart, say in the last 4-5 years, can you please share your experience?

Great! Can you please tell me the seller you bought it from? And which brand's ACs were there?
Carrier and Hitachi, seller toh bro yaad nhi :/ it's been 5-6 years.

One important thing, if you live at ground floor no issues. I am at 2nd floor, and they had only 2 guys, so even though they didn't ask.

I still helped him as it's quite difficult to get stuff to 2nd floor, stairs and turns... makes it more difficult.

Then jeeves guys came for fitting, both times I told them how I want things also asked their opinion.

Never had any problems so far with a few TVs, a washing machine, an AC, and a cooler. I've been using Flipkart for 10+ years and never had any problems, even with many phones or other items. Amazon is good too, but their TV installation sucked.

You can check offline at Croma if it’s available.
But there are a few issues with Croma which I'm jotting down here based on my past experience and from what I've commonly read on X:
  1. Almost every 4 out of 5 items I've bought from there were either very old in manufacturing date or were filled in dust or dirt. Last year, bought one Daikin AC from them. Even though it was sealed completely and had a manufacturing date of 3-4 months prior, it was still filled in dirt. Bought the same model this year from Amazon, and it seemed like brand new. Also, all the ACs I've bought from Amazon had a manufacturing date of the previous month (Bought three so far from themo; all different brands.)
  2. As I read online, if you've got a defective or *even a damaged* refrigerator, especially from LG, only the brand would provide you the replacement, not Croma. And this process usually takes a lot of time.

Just fyi: I got a much better deal on LG 380L at an offline store than any online site. 3 Star convertible model with door cooling for approx 36k. Flipkart lists this model for 50k and will sell for about 45k after discounts.

Nice. With Low Cost EMI, the LG 398 L model on Flipkart was costing around ₹35K last month (in the first week of May '25), and ₹36K on Croma, while their retail prices were around ₹45K.
