Got a call from IndusInd support regarding CPP

I got a call from IndusInd support that while opting for upgrade from legend to tiger, CPP was activated. I said i never opted but he said that it's automatically done while sending the card to avoid misuse and he said it can be canceled by doing some steps on whatsapp which he will ask.

Is it a scam?

The word "whatsapp" triggers a red flag..
