Getting Emerald Private Metal Based on Salary

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to check if anyone got EPM approved based on the salary? Please help me with the criteria. I already hold ICICI Times Black, HDFC Infinia, Axis Atlas, and a few other with combined limit of over 70 LPA. Used to hold Axis Reserve as well but closed after devaluation. I have Burgundy salary account with Axis.

i was denied recently by good corporate RM, may be 2.5L is based on corporate tied up alary account

My Corporate ICICI relationship manager helped me out on this.

Yes, more than 2.5 is for icici corporate salary account and if credited in another they ask for 3 lacs or more and that must be inhand.

They will also ask to open demat accounts with them.

if you dont have icici account, EPM comes with package of 3 in 1 , this is what corporate RM told me


he said you can close demat as soon as you get card, so i didnt bother to ask this

yeah, i am not sure when you are going to shift account before or after getting card. this is am unaware of

You can try via corporate RM, they generally need 2.5-3L/month.

May also get it with < 2.5L in hand, if you have high ITR/home loan/etc, but depends on RM (some say outright won't won't work) - try a few RMs

I got EPM in july with 2.85 LPM salary.

No salary account shifting or demat account opening was asked.

My salary account is with some other bank and icici person didn't ask to move salary account as well

I am being politely requested to open salary account with ICICI (they are not forcing it), so I am going with it. I'm opening the account with a guarantee for EPM. Even before applying for account, RM took my salary and other details, got my eligibility checked for EPM and confirmed that I'd be getting the card. The account got activated today, and by 1st or 2nd, he'd get the approval for EPM. Let's see.

is there any difference between salary criteria of Corporate Employees & Govt. Employees?
