Frightening experience with sbi unipay. A narrow escape from getting my credit health ruined.

Hi TFC!
I did three payment transactions towards my sbi card on 19th may thru unipay using nari shakti rupay dc to get activation points but today to my shock, all three transactions are reversed in the account despite being shown as successful at unipay's end.
However, the amounts are not debited yet from my card account. By god's grace, the due date is 23rd May so i still have enough time to pay back.
I am not sure whether unipay or the newly issued dc caused this issue or its just a temporary credit due to glitch but what if it gets reversed after the due date.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's always good to check bank statement and confirm that the amount has been debited correctly.
Also, BBPS transactions get through within less than an hour and we get SMS confirmation from card that the amount is received.
Always check for those SMSes and confirm that the payable amount is adjusted in the app as well.

Yes i did check the statement, amounts were debited and received confirmation SMSes from sbicard as well.
Transactions are settled.
That's why i am concerned about this happening.

Pretty common with unipay, payment can get reversed so one has to constantly keep an eye on the card limit.

I don't understand why people are still using unipay, there are better alternatives out there. This has happened previously as well.

And no, your DC has nothing to do with it. It's just unipay probably acting weird at the time of payment.

I always use to pay the MAD just after bill generation, and the full amount before 3vto 5days before due date. You can try that. This way if anything happens you will be fined heavily but your credit health will be intact.

Faced similar issue last November.
Problem with unipay/canara setu in my case.

One of the member here, when I explained the issue, ridiculed and suggested that I am lying, and that I actually have not made the payment.

Posting the link for that post here

If they consider cashback as repayment then cashback posted for april month already paid the minimum amount itself.
