Is it safe to go for any bank or small finance bank for the FD under 5 lakh if covered by DICGC ?

As he predicted, IDFC First has recently increased the FD rates (by 0.25% pa). At the same time, liquid MFs have started generating lower returns. Time for me to move a big chunk of money from the liquid fund to FDs 😄.
