Eligibility of HDFC Privilege Banking programs changed ?

Today I called my branch to ask to upgrade my account to preferred banking.
The guy told me that the criteria is changed now, from now preferred requires 4L AMB and Classic requires 2L AMB.

I immediately checked HDFC website, but I couldn't find it.
Then I told him that it's showing 2L AMB for preferred, he told me the website is not updated yet and the bank already got the mail regarding the new criteria.

So I told him to upgrade mine to classic banking, So he upgraded me to Vishesh banking, informed me that in metro it's called classic, basically the same.

I was parking funds there so thought of upgrading the account 😅.
Also in the hope of getting upgrade of my CC. 😂

You will get CC upgrades based on your relationship irrespective of your banking tier. Just let the fund be there and wait for the auto upgrades. They are much better.
Due to some work, I was visiting the branch, so I casually asked them for the upgrade. They told me the most I can get is Classic. I told them I am eligible for at least preferred. They started laughing. I left. The next day I got an invite for Imperia 😝😝😜. So, I visited again just to see the faces of those clowns and the sudden change in their attitude. 🤣🤣
