It seems earlier icici was providing this card easily even for 2.4-2.5LPM salary without requiring to move salary account or opening demat.
Now icici has started tightening the screw.

Things evolve. I said this before EPM, Infinia sort of cards are a loss to banks if used majorly for accelerated points, banks expect to make money from HNIs and hence the privileges. Case in point Atlas, despite not being super premium, people exploited left right and centre leading to Axis review its issuance

Check in another branch or check with BM and tell him you will move away your salary account if it is with icici or move to icici if it is not with icici..

Will try another branch as I had talked to the BM directly. I have decided to close the Times Black and told him the same. He and other branch employees were surprised as they all believe that Times Black is superior to and more premium card than EPM.

They have actually become very strict the criteria. They are making it hard for new on-boarding.
