Ease of opening a BSBDA

I visited all the banks available in my city.
Asking to open a zero balance account (BSBDA). To my surprise except idfc first bank all other banks denied having a zero balance account. Only when I threatened them to give me in writing or I'll have to involve RBI in this then they said yes there is this account but we don't usually open that anymore.
ICICI being the worst they didn't agree to open the account even when I left the branch.
I know the BSBDA account has many restrictions but what banks are doing is wrong. If RBI has given a option then why are banks not forwarding it?

Yesterday a friend opened a 10k account at a semi urban branch. At first branch told him that 1 lkh ip needed but he then complained on twitter.

Bsbda in ICICI is like finding water in a desert

If you would have told that icici is best bank . Then I would have reached to RBI to open BSBDA account

ICICI is not best tbh
U will find HDFC more convenient

Or jo initially acc hi open na kare to kya hi unse services expect krenge

Yes everyone can opened any account in any bank by hook & cook method

One of my friend has BSBDA account in boi and it's daily limit is 15k

On the hdfc website it is mentioned 25k atm withdrawal limit but no info regarding pos .
So, I wanted to confirm the same.
