Doubts on Vistara Airmiles and usage

I have about 1 lakh+ points in Axis Magnus which I am planning to move to Vistara as my usage is primarily domestic travel.
Since I have never booked tickets using miles before, a couple of doubts:
1) Is the process of redeeming the same as buying a normal ticket? ie at the step where you need to pay, you choose to pay by points?
2) Can I buy tickets for my family as well using these points? ( I will also be traveling with them)
3) I have heard a concept of reward seats where this will only be open in some sectors and not always. Is this the same? if so, will I be able to book 4 tickets together?
4) Any expiration of these points?

1. Yes
2. Yes but you will have to add them as family in your id. You can edit this only once a year.
3. Some sectors and limits in different classes. You can book 4 but it is likely possible only in economy class.
4. 3 years.

Cv points accrued in cv ID can be transferred to itc/accor or only airlines?, Or what's the best use of cv points

1) Not exactly, when you book tickets on their site, it will show the option, "Pay by: Cash, CV Points, Cash + Points" at the top when you are searching for a flight. You need to select CV points to book through points. Also by choosing this option you'll know how many seats are left for a particular sector which can be booked my points.

They will charge extra 300 Rs , but booking via their phone support is better in my opinion .
