Does BOI (Bank of India) has any 0 balance account variant apart from (BSBDA). Do the bank charge DC and SMS alert charges?

We don't have it in the system yet to set the SMS alerts off.
All classic variant cards (Rupay, Visa and MC) have 250+GST i.e. 295 AMC.
All platinum variant cards (Rupay, Visa) have 300+GST i.e. 354 AMC
All premium cards (Rupay Select, Visa Signature and soon to be Mastercard world) have 800+GST i.e. 944 AMC.
Virtual DC is coming this financial year (which will be free ofcourse). It's not live yet.
And minimum balance charges have been waived off for ALL savings bank account types but rest of the charges remain.
P.S. Minimum balance charges accumulated BEFORE 05/07/2025 have to be paid as even staffs can't modify those liens marked by the CBS.

On BOI website I see DC (first issuance) and SMS charges waived of if we have 1L AMB is that correct?

Only the issuance charge is waived off. The AMC from 2nd year remains and subject to Average Yearly Balance as shown in the image above.

I need this account for credit card so I can close within an year no charges for closing the account?

Applying via branch is the fastest way. Rupay select CC is great but lien marked FD CC is not good at all, that's the best way I can put it.
Only base branch accepting applications or other branch too ?
Formalities or Requirements apart from saving account, if you can guide us too.

Can we have BOI account without debit card. I mean what if I close DC after one year can I can continue with mobile app/net banking?

Yes, can apply from other branches but might have to justify why you are not applying from home branch.
You'll need the usual salary slips/ITR (original soft copy), application form, etc etc.
You can. Once you have enabled transaction rights in app and net banking, you can transact even without an active DC BUT if you forget the password of IB there is no wayof resetting it. As for the app, you can reset mPin using one of the three options: DC, CC or IB password.

My online account opened and gave physical docs too at home branch.
Tried logged into app, asked aadhar pan dob, i entered all right.
But showed incorrect 3 times and blocked .
