Axis Atlas Do I get Edge Miles for education payment of a government University?

I need to pay fee for a government university ( national law university). It has its own erp portal where we can pay fee, as we don’t get any miles on payment towards govt. institutions, will I get miles when I pay fee for government education institution?
Will my payment be counted as government institution or education fee.

I do not know the MCC.
Also where can I check MCC?

Education payment is not Excluded category for atlas. But Govt institution is. so chances of Transaction not qualifying for atlas is low.. cause mine was denied by icici saying its coming under Govt category. For Axis case might be diffrent

MCC can be known by calling cc after making Transaction.

if you can divide payment including fragment so तर Transaction of 1000 or low value. Check if you get rewards.

If yes do the rest. If not call cc and ask for MCC.
If any cc denies just hang up and call again. Someone will tell that.


But a Point to remember.
A transaction fee of 1% will be applicable on education payments made via third-party
apps. However, payments and transactions made directly through education institutional
websites or their POS machines will not incur this fees

At the time of payment settlement in the statement witch generally happens within 2 days.

And yes same mentioned in the note. Charge applicable only through third part. Not with direct pos or college website.

Congratulations on being Christ University student.

Just check the MCC, Atlas usually have some excluded MCC. Below list are excluded.
