Digilocker Kyc + Penny Drop Verification: Instead of Video kyc for Credit card application.

BOB has already been (Negatively) mentioned earlier in this thread. Some have said that no matter how you apply (online) they shall do physical verification then demand documents to be mailed etc.

That defeats the Purpose of Digilocker KYC and Penny Drop verification as I see it.

Application status is showing Share Documents on Email and I have shared documents 5 to 6 times on email still my application status is showing Share Documents on Email 🥲

Is there anyone in this group who got the SBI credit card only by doing Digilocker KYC without doing penny drop and any KYC or physical verification?


One of my friend already having 2 sbi credit cards.he tried to apply for 3rd bpcl credit card yesterday but he did not get any penny drop verification.he only got digilocker kyc verification.then it is showing we need additional information..

Last time he got the cashback credit card without any verification call.

How can he cancel the application ?

HDFC asks for your CKYC number during the application but still takes you to e-kyc and vkyc

I applied for the SBI card 10th April. As you mentioned the process was smooth involving the online kyc (I think via DigiLocker) and by net banking debit. But the application went on hold for few days till a person came to my home last Friday. He triggered some process through his mobile and I got a sms and mail for e-signature. The process was completed in 5 minutes. There was no photo taken or biometric verification. I got the virtual in another few minutes, it is usable right away. I am now waiting for the physical card to arrive. There was no verification done in the office address. I feel it trumps any other verification process including that of Amex.

No update for about a week now. Just got that 11 days wait message once. I am not able to see the status. How were you able to check status like on hold etc? For me it just shows that we have received your application message on track application page.

My experience is 1 year old. I don’t know if the process has changed. If not, I guess you will need to wait for the call for verification.

I think yes the tracking has changed over time and does not show individual points now. Most screenshots I see it on are older. Its weird as I dropped an email to their credit cards team and got a reply that the card is approved and that I should receive it shortly yet when I go to tracking screen it shows under process and I have not received any upfront communication via SMS or email telling me card is assigned or what the credit limit is and obviously it doesn't show on Cibil either.
