What are some suggested destinations for a quick trip that is well suited for travel in Jan or Feb? Preferably easy access and with no visas required or at least visa on arrival for those with US/UK or CAD visas.

Jan/Feb are winter months, so my suggestion would be to stick to the tropics. I don't know what you mean by a quick trip, but I'm assuming it would be between 1-2 weeks, so keeping that in mind, here are a few suitable options- Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, UAE, and Malaysia. Most other countries that offer VOA facility for valid US visa holders are mostly concentrated in/close to South America, which I don't think you could enjoy much on a short trip.

April will be end of season. It still should be ok. Maybe a bit hotter
