Delay in non UPI transaction SMS in BOB Savings account

1 added advantage with Union is they also provide the closing balance in the sms.

2 Accounts I would suggest is:

• SB PRO: 10k Mab, a little hassle to open but almost everything free.
• USSA2 or above: If you can open a salary account with them, only then, 0 MAB, Again free everything

The case with BOB is, They will on their wish inform you in 1 to 2 hours after your money is deducted.

Closing balance for the day via sms u mean ?
My org doesn't allow union bank account to be used as a salary account. However I am eligible for the UDAAN variant but I am already tagged under HDFC imperia , in csse they downgrade me to classic some day I will switch to Union Udaan account , for now I am thinking to open account with Union Bank and close bob. Banks around 500m of my proximity ( UNION ,Sbi , BOI , BOB, Hdfc , Axis ). I already have a salary account with HDFC.

Because currently BOB sends no transactional emails, except for the Person-to-Person transfers through netbanking. Combining it to the delayed SMS notifications — which doesn't even happen rarely — I'd surely suggest you to go ahead and close your account. Peace should be the topmost priority.

I was planning to open a BOB LITE account for myself last month, but had considered these points and then finally decided to drop it.

Yes will definitely close my account in few days. Peace of mind comes above all ..
