Customizable VPA and Wallet ID

I'm looking for an UPI app that has the following three features:

1. Ability to customize VPA (UPI ID)

2. Wallet to UPI payment

3. Ability to customize Wallet ID (As the wallet ID in most of the apps contains the mobile number which I don't want to disclose.)

I have finalized a few options. Esteemed and knowledgeable members of Techofino, kindly advice which is the best:

1. Mobikwik
2. Slice
3. Fampay
4. Payzapp
5. Phonepe (Don't know whether it has wallet to UPI feature)

Kindly share your experience with these apps. Any transaction restrictions that you came to know after using these apps. Any letdowns that led you to switch to a different app.

If someone’s using PhonePe wallet regularly can someone check and tell me, when I enter my VPA on any app and it sends request for payment, do yall get notification to pay? I’m not getting it nor I’m able to pay for the request when I enter the wallet’s VPA.

Not supported in wallet yet.

Update: I completed and it did work. It gave me the custom UPI ID which I had created. So it does work.

I removed the phone number VPA and added custom VPA of my choice to the bank account Linked on PhonePe, later completed my Full KYC on PhonePe and done the same custom VPA is now for PhonePe wallet as well

Meaning?

For example, when I go on website where I want to pay through UPI, it asks for my UPI ID, when I enter my UPI ID, it sends a request on the app to pay, you get notification and you pay, this doesn’t work for PhonePe wallet upi, one doesn’t get notification to pay so for online merchants you can’t pay through wallet

Is there any banking app that allows custom VPA and fingerprint authentication instead of UPI PIN.

Like kotak 811 app allows upi with Fingerprint Authentication.

They have received payment aggregator license and merchant onboarding ban lifted. Paytm Payments Bank is still banned under which our wallets operate. But it doesnt matter cause UPI Lite is better than before. I have shifted to UPI Lite.

As payment aggregator, they will provide wallet service....As per my understanding, wallet comes under payment aggregator like amazon and phonepe...They cannot open bank account

No, PPI license is different than PA license. Wallet is a Prepaid Instrument. The PPI license was held by Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL), which is a separate entity from the parent company, One97 Communications Ltd (Paytm). PA licence was given to Paytm's subsidiary, Paytm Payment Services Ltd. (PPSL).
