I recently returned from my trip to Mangalore, my first visit there, coming from Chennai. I was disappointed to find that most hotels, restaurants, and shops lacked credit card payment options. I could only use my Rupay credit card via UPI for about 10% of my total expenses, unlike in Tamil Nadu, where such facilities are more common. Additionally, the food and overall experience, particularly near temples, were quite poor. I’m very disappointed with Karnataka tourism. The only positive was the roadways, which were better than those in Tamil Nadu. Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the experience.
