Converted HDFC millennia credit card from MasterCard to Visa network

Reason to convert : It was declined twice in Sweden (maybe because of terminal) do not want it to happen in next Poland trip.

How to convert : Simple way is to call HDFC customer care and ask them to change network, it will be delivered to your address withing 7 days.
If you are not living on that address you can ask them to send it to your nearest HDFC back branch.
Changing payment network is free of cost in HDFC cards not sure about others cards.

It was free card for me as I was using HDFC MoneyBack CC since 2019, then got offer to upgrade it to MoneyBack Plus in 2021,this year got free upgrade to MILLENNIA.

They are bad people, charging money to change even after new rule. 🙁

I guess they are treating as if i m getting card upgrade . Wrote back . Asking for bank actual offical policy regarding the same .
Will drag them .. I don't use myzone 🤣 just for Limit utilisation ratio

Does anyone have a hardcopy of RBI stating that I can change the credit card network from Master Card to visa or rupay by just telling the concerned bank. Coz HDFC bank is being cheeky.

I have a regalia gold cc on mastercard.

I have few questions for you or anyone who has an answer.

1. Does my anniversary yr changes too if I change it from mastercard to visa?
2. What abt spends? Currently I have spent 5.7L since feb(feb is my anniverysary yr), so if I get visa, my spends amt continue from 5.7L or I need to spend whole amt again to reach milestones?
3. What abt priority pass, does those change too?
4. What abt add on cards, they change too?

It will reset.

Not sure but most probably they will change it also as it's linked to your card account.

Add-on cards will also be issued on new network.

In your cibil report card account number will be changed but account opening date will remain same as old card.

The card fee will remain the same if the card variant remains unchanged, regardless of the card network. HDFC never charges the joining fee just for changing the card network like 🪓 💩.

Maybe you can but try it at your own risk.
