I made payments last month and the canara payment gateway was accepting Amex card. It is not accepting today though.

Just an update to this now. Seems Amex for tax payments is over (haven’t checked personally)

Yes, it worked today.
I paid using Amex Platinum travel.

Btw, 1 gateway accepts foreign cards (I dont recollect which one) - though it charges 2.5%.
Did anyone use it successfully?

May be for NRIs to pay advance tax for their dividends tax, rental income etc, but they can pay more and claim some part as refund 😛

Have been trying tax payment thru amex for the last 3 days and it fails every single time - the OTP page does not get loaded and after filling in card details - i get the message that payment has failed. Has anyone been able to make payment thru Amex in the last week or so? Does any other gateway except canara bank work

Just checked, not going to OTP page after adding amex card details after selecting canara portal.

I used Amex Platinum travel CC yesterday to pay Advance Tax via Canara Bank Gateway and it worked without any issues.

I am getting an error code (TNE006)while make the payment with my AMEX Credit Card via the Canara bank portal on Income tax website. Any idea what could this be? Amex Cust Care is saying that the transaction did not reach them so they dont have any idea why it is not going through. I have tried it with 2 of my AMEX cards on multiple occasions in the past few days and it is still not going through.
