Club Marriott membership benefits

I am supposed to book a Marriot hotel for 2 days stay next week or so. I got a club Marriott membership from DCB card for free, wondering how can i utilize it in a better way, can I get a discount for a hotel stay(I don't see any rate reduction)?

Better book marriot via smart buy. You get 33% off. With club marriot its only 20%
