CIBIL compensation query

Hi,

I raised a dispute on CIBIL portal for CIBIL enquiry removal of AMEX and Tata Capital under one Dispute ID.

Both query got resolved in 62 days and 63 days for AMEX and TCL respectively. CIBIL compensated me 3300 INR for both delays (instead of 6500 INR) and upon raising complaint mentioning that delay was from two different institutions although under one single dispute, CIBIL has replied and I quote "one dispute ID compensation is applicable on the basis of parent sr delay and not child sr delay".

I think CIBIL is taking me for a ride as RBI rules state compensation per delay. Anyone here can shed light on this matter and has experience of the same type of query may please help as I am contemplating raising Ombudsman complaint of my query is genuine.

Please post your opinions.

I faced the concern and it delayed by 30+46 days . I got compensation of 4600 from cibil. I think you raised the concern together, that may be the reason why they considered it as a single one

I have a case where CRIF sent the issue to Standard Chartered, it took 30+39 days to close the issue. CRIF says SC has to compensate 3900 for delay. Not sure what's next, sent 7-8 mails to CRIF, no update on next steps. When escalated to level 2, they asked to check with SC Directly. Now it is 30+39+60 days.

You are eligible for 3900 compensation only as of 39 days. 60 days are not part of dispute closure. Ask standard chartered bank for 3900, if they deny then go to RBI ombudsman and yes also ask to crif that they pay compensation amount taking the money from bank because dispute is raised on crif. In this way you will have proof that you contacted both and this will make your case strong if case is done to RBI in absence of compensation from both parties.
