Back Story-
I have always been a one mobile person and hated carrying 2 mobiles. Back in 2011 I got a office sim and a phone and I slowly moved all savings accounts, credit cards, Aadhar, Pan, and every possible thing to my official number. After 14 years, during the last 1 month of recovery phase from a knee surgery, I decided to split personal and official phones. ( Showoff- upgraded my fold 6 to fold 7 for personal use and 16 pro max (office given))

Here is my experience on changing the mobile nos in various banks.

ICICI Bank
Visited their ATM and figured out a form has to be submitted along with ID proofs. A special visit to the branch followed by signatures to get me up and running. Time taken - 16 hrs. Still credit cards are linked to old number itself.

HDFC Bank
Found a url online and submitted the request and it stated that it will take 48 hrs. After the specified time the change happened. Later on the issue was my 3 CCs were still stuck to old number. Tried from mycards website but it was not letting me update the profile number. It was giving that something is wrong. Tried in atm and still the no change on the cc didn't work. Finally emailed infinia services and in 20 hrs all 3 cards phone number got changed.

Indusind Bank
Visited multiple atms and the number change option doesn't come up though the ATM has a poster that the atm is capable of updating the mobile number. Need to visit branch.

Federal Bank
Visited ATM and mobile change option was there. It asked mobile no and I assumed it was asking the existing number and I punched the old number and the atm said thank you. Realised the mistake and retried instantly and got an sms that another mobile update request is open. Try after 24 hrs. Visited today again and the atm was under maintenance. Need to retry.

AU Bank
From AU101 app raised the request and immediately I was pushed forward for a video call where the agent verified the identity and changed the mobile no instantly.

I really liked how quick and convenient it was with AU Bank.

Wanted to share with the community in case anyone wants to go through such tedious process.

I curse you 😑😑 that your knee injury will heal the fastest and you will be back to 100 percent strength asap so that your rehabilitation will be reduced and then your sickness leave will shorten 🤬😡😤
Could you please provide the reason for the knee surgery? 🤔
Hope i wont get reported for my cursing 😭

Was in a exercise spree last year and used to run daily for 15 kms. During that time ACL was completely torn but didn't get operated. Resorted to physio.

This year it got aggravated and damaged the entire knee big time. So had to undergo ACL reconstruction and a bone reconstruction along with multiple other stuff inside the knee.

I pray that ur curses come really true ❤️
