Can you buy an Accor Plus membership with Accor points?

With Axis recently adding Accor as a transfer partner, I am wondering if you can buy an Accor Plus membership, say, Explorer, with Accor points? a la ITC

Today only we got to know the addition of accord let this month 25k point come we do our research

I think I read somewhere. For 12k points, one can get explorer membership

Yes you can, but with just 1 free stay night - might be better to stay and pay with points.

Correct, as long as you are planning a stay in India. Redeeming points for stay would be better rather taking membership.
