Can I transfer my positive balance in credit card to bank?

I purchased an AC using RBL Zomato Edition card, which I returned after sometime.

Now the statement was prepared before the refund amount was credited.

Since it's a significant amount, I am sure I won't be able to use it up in coming months and would prefer it be transferred to my bank account. OR be adjusted against the statement demand.

Is this possible?

Different banks acts different way in this case.
For reference ICICI doesn't adjust but HDFC does, so call their Customer Care & ask.

The customer care flat out refused.
Hence asking if there are any RBI guidelines that could help.

I don't know the specifics but I am sure every card issuing bank has mechanism for such situations.

Send an email to card issuing bank and insist upon transferring excess balance to your bank account, if they refuse, you could always contact RBI Ombudsman.
