Ah sucks, this is the first time I’ve had it turned on by the bank as a default. All my other cards have it off and ask me to enable it myself first.Yes they can. You have to turn it off for most banks when you get the card. No getting a refund will not reverse the over-limit fees but if you write an email to the bank's PNO maybe they might consider doing it.
Is it Axis? Mine came turned on too.Ah sucks, this is the first time I’ve had it turned on by the bank as a default. All my other cards have it off and ask me to enable it myself first.

No it won’t be reversed on it’s own, but you could email onecard to reverse as a one time gesture.I was in a hurry, and accidentally made an amazon order, without checking my available limit. While paying, the amount shown was the original amount of the product, however, I was slapped with an over limit fee on that order as I checked my transactions (OneCard). I immediately cancelled the order. Will the over limit fee be reversed too?
Man what a shame 🙁No it won’t be reversed
Yeah. Send an emailMan what a shame 🙁
Will requesting them to reverse help?
Bro you receive the fee reverse ? Same thing happened with me . I call customer care 1st they denied then she told upto 200 possible. So I request by mail for full refund. Is it work for you ?I made a purchase on my one card and then later checked statement to find almost 500 in overlimit fees added to the final amount. I never set overlimit on. Can banks keep it on by default?
Also, will getting a refund for the transaction also reverse the associated overlimit fees?
Yes I got it reversed. I was adamant and told that I will complain to ombudsman. After that they said as a one time exception they will reverse.Bro you receive the fee reverse ? As per RBI rules banks are not allowed to turn on overlimit without explicit consent.
