Can’t pay utility bill from Amazon Pay GC

Hi,

I paid a utility bill of Rs.41k from my Amazon account November successfully from Amazon Pay Balance loaded as Gift Cards from SBI CB card. Now I am trying to pay another utility bill in January getting the message on the payment options page even on my other Amazon account:
“Amazon Pay Balance is not eligible as you have exceeded the maximum amount limit allowed for your Balance on this transaction. Please continue to pay using other methods.”

Is there any way to resolve this as Amazon customer service said in the first week of December that limit will reopen in the January and the issue still remains or any way to get CB using SBI CB card?

This is what I get even trying to pay LIC premium today. It worked in April this year but not today. Something changed recently or they're applying this limit slowly to all accounts. Any workarounds guys as I am stuck with ~50k Gift Card balance?

I hate that Indian government has no rules for these companies to give any notice before making policy changes. How would one plan with these uncertainties?

Only way to practically use Apay for insurance is to convert annual premium to monthly premiums

yeah split the premium in parts which makes installments less than 15k to be on near future safe

Is there anywhere written in the documents, try escalating to upper level may solve the issue not sure tbh but yeah you can try if no written docs anywhere

I checked both PolicyBazaar and the Aditya Birla website but couldn’t find any option for monthly or bi-annual premium payments.

Their team said over call that, for health insurance, they only support annual premium.

Try via email, that would help you find out the details. Sometimes executive over calls may give different information

Ask them to send the response in the mail only. If something which is not documented or not in their circular, we can escalate to IRDAI too I guess
