Infinia Best card for educational payment through bill desk

how did you make the payment finally? on the school website for e.g. I see UPI is 0% but credit card is 0.8%, diner 2.68%... so using Infinia will still be putting almost a 1% hit... any other better alternate?

I have 2 different payments

1. School fee - through online only option available. It's through a third-party payment gateway. They are charging 1.1% for credit card, 1% for debit, 0 for UPI. I'm thinking to pay via Atlas.

2. My own course fee - private college, so it's a own website and payment gateway. No charges for credit cards. I paid through Atlas and got the normal rewards.

I have more instalments for both of the above categories in the coming months.

What are your suggestions..

Pay via infinia , which will incur a convenience charge of 0.8% as per school website (assume its gate way charges ) . I should be able to get my reward points ( 5 for 150 still to overall come out positive )

I need experts here to tell if this is correct or need a course correction. The fee for me will be due next month so hoping by then HDFC accepts my upgrade request

Yes, this is correct. Paying on school portal directly will give you 5 per 150 on Infinia

Yes, Infinia gives 3.3% rewards for direct education related payments.

i would recommend to use Infinia (~12%) or SBI CB card (5%) to add money in Amazon pay, and then use Amazon pay to pay fee
You can pay the fee monthly or quarterly, and keep on adding money to Amazon.

can always spread between quarterly payments but even than its 1.5L... I have not done this before so don't even understand so far how this addition, reward (12% or so mentioned) works... any pointer?

Quarterly 1-1.5 lacs should be possible in different transaction through amazon pay (KYC account). Infinia allowed 10k per month using instant voucher, SBI CB can give 5% for another 60-70k per month. Then Tata Neu Infinity is there for 5%

every online payment is through a gateway (even schools, colleges). Does not mean infina will charge 1% on it. It will charge on mechanical name associated with the rotation apps like housing.com.
Best course will be to confirm from hdfc desk if it will be chargeable. I doubt it.
Atlas will give you higher return anyway compared to infinia if you're into miles. So you can ignore infinia in that case.

In my case as well, school uses edunext for fee payments but luckily they accept pos machine payments as well. So have been doing that since HDFC came up with 1% charge.

Most likely you will not be charged for the payment done online.

You mean using Amazon pay gift cards ? I doubt every school or institute is on AP...
