Bank of Maharashtra || Rupay select debit card || REVIEW

This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv): Yearly once
Cab (Ola/ Uber): Quarterly
Healthcare (SRL/Thyrocare): Quarterly
Spa (For Fountains/ HR Wellness/ Kairali/ Aromathai/ O2 Spa/ Lakme): Quarterly
Fitness ( Cult.fit 1 Month/ Cult.fit 3 Months): Quarterly
Golf Round: Quarterly
Golf Lesson: Quarterly "

Previously i thought all benefits were updated yearly only, but now i can use the coupons extensively.
Bank of Maharashtra offered RSDC for free by opening a min bal 25k account.
i hope its useful for all members.

I visited the new branch yesterday to transfer my account, but they told me to visit the main branch instead.

you can do it at new branch as well. they'll take the necessary forms signed by u & email it to the old branch & it will get processed. i did mine like this only.

Online Vkyc not working tried multiple times, I think now I need to visit branch only, for that I am feeling lazy.. :|

I would say go to branch. Yesterday I completed VKYC for BoM but at bank they again asked me to fill form as they need to scan it for their records. The counter lady had no idea about Rupay Select and she was giving me on spot Rupay classic, after I told about select dc she confirmed with senior staff. Senior staff told me that the cards will arrive after 8 days and I have to wait.

OTOH VKYC experience was way better than any as if someone I know did it for me and wife. I tried on Friday evening to fill form, selected saturday morning 10.10 slot, but after some time got direct call from vkyc team saying we can do it now. We tried but did not work for me due to poor network in morning. Yesterday I filled wife`s form and directly called on that number - gave us 10.20 and 10.50 appointments. Had good discussion overall and completed vkyc without any issues at home. VKYC team has limited staff and they only work as per scheduled slots. Post ckyc they do send net banking login and password in 2hrs.

Bank employee was not sure even about the account variant BSS 25, RSDC by default and the MAB - she was saying its 1 Lakh shown in system, I told het its not and asked her to continue anyway. I don`t see account variant as BSS 25 in net banking, callked the vkyc lady and she told me it will not be visible in netbanking.

Need to wait for RSDC now.

I read your thread after returning and have missed it by short but have made good connection with staff and also got bank number, so hopefully will get more details shortly. Lets see how it goes...

Btw at what time you guys made initial funding of 25K?
