This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv): Yearly once
Cab (Ola/ Uber): Quarterly
Healthcare (SRL/Thyrocare): Quarterly
Spa (For Fountains/ HR Wellness/ Kairali/ Aromathai/ O2 Spa/ Lakme): Quarterly
Fitness ( Cult.fit 1 Month/ Cult.fit 3 Months): Quarterly
Golf Round: Quarterly
Golf Lesson: Quarterly "

Previously i thought all benefits were updated yearly only, but now i can use the coupons extensively.
Bank of Maharashtra offered RSDC for free by opening a min bal 25k account.
i hope its useful for all members.

atleast 2 time you have to visit first is during opening and second it takes 2 week for DC to arrive at bank and you will have to collect it from branch

Not necessarily for the 2nd time...u can ask the bank when u get the call to collect the dc to send it at ur registered address

It is possible to open BSS-25 online. But there are 90% chance of some or the other issue for which you have to visit branch. And coming to RSDC, DC gets shipped to selected branch by default. You can raise a grievance and get the card delivered to your address.
Here are people who were able to open a/c online and get DC delivered to home. For me personally, I was stuck at vkyc page and have to visit branch to open freshly. So mixed experiences, but you can give a try.

Joint account is possible what I got to know from branch. You can directly open joint or later change to joint. Not sure about 2nd RSDC, someone need to explore.

In online there will be option to select account variant like drop-down?

Also if the branch is nearby and if the RuPay offers withdrawn there’s no option to close the account online right?

Can we withdraw the 25k and let it be negative balance? Will the account automatically closed by any RBI guidelines? Asking this in general for all bank accounts

I asked bom staff, they said 2nd holder can also get rsdc but it will be chargeable

I opened 0 bal student account in 2017 (physical)
Then it converted to 2k mab account in 2021
Then it converted to 25k mab account in 2025
All without debit card..
Then one day i see there is a option in app of applying of virtual dc, then i applied it and got rsdc…


That’s my affair with BOM till date..

When exactly u applied this virtual dc?

Today I have opened BSS-25 account and registered in Maha mobile app. I have generated virtual debit card, it mentioned after one hour, VDC can be viewed.
But till now the VDC is not generated. anybody generated virtual debit card through app. Is the VDC also rupay select card?

Yaa showing. But it is normal rupay card, not RSDC

Received 5k compensation from BANK OF MAHARASHTRA after complaining to rbio. Reason was they did not dispatched the rupay SELECT debit card after opening BSS25 account.

Bhai account january mai khola tha aur debit card recieved hua h april mai usmai bich mai countless complain kiya tha. Case ko ache sai present karo with proof compensation 100% milega
