Axis Bank salary account conversion

Hi,

I want to convert my existing Axis savings account to a salary account (current salary account is with Citibank). I understand the process can be initiated from the Axis mobile app itself. My questions is do I need to wait for 1 or more salary credits before initiating the conversion, or can I do it beforehand, e.g. initiate the conversion in Dec 1st week for a salary credit at the end of December. Anyone with similar experience, please do share your thoughts/guidance. TIA!

AFAIK, you can do it beforehand. You would need to attach your salary slips of last 3 months.
No harm in trying to convert the same via mobile app.
At max what will happen? It won't get converted to salary right away, that's all.

There is an option in Axis mobile app to convert Savings account to a Salary account.
