Axis Bank Credit Card Rejection - Need Advice

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to get an Axis Bank credit card for a long time, but I always get rejected. I don’t understand why this is happening, as I have a good credit score and 10 other credit cards from different banks.

Here is my credit card history:

  • In 2022, I applied for a Flipkart Axis card on FD basis, but I cancelled it after using it for 2-3 months. I also had an Axis account, which I closed later.
  • In 2023, I applied for an Airtel Axis card, but it got declined. I waited for 7 months and then applied for an Ace card. I completed the VKYC process, but I got a message that it was declined too.
These are my existing credit cards and their limits:

  • Amazon Pay: ₹4.20 lakh
  • ICICI Coral RuPay: ₹2.50 lakh
  • SBI Cashback Card: ₹1.16 lakh
  • IDFC Select Card: ₹2.0 lakh
  • Yes Bank Elite: ₹1.13 lakh
  • RBL Play: ₹1.40 lakh
  • Kotak Zen Card: ₹1.85 lakh
  • AU Bank Lit Card: ₹4.20 lakh
  • Amex: ₹50,000
I have never faced this issue with any other bank cards. I always pay my bills on time and maintain a good utilization ratio.

My Question:
Now I am thinking of applying for an Axis card on card to card basis, using one of my existing cards. But I am not sure which card to use and what are the eligibility criteria for Axis card on card to card basis.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks in advance.
