Axis add ons application live for few

Seems like Axis bank started rolling add on cards in the app.
Few users are able to see add on pop and asking customer id of add on card holder upon clicking on it

Advantages of add on:
They are free.
Easy to spend and reach milestones or fee waiver faster.
No reporting in add on holder cibil.

Disadvantages :
Beware Axis add on counts as one of the primary card for add on holder. Like if add on holder has 2 primary cards and if u apply add on for ur card on their name,then 3 cards quota will be completed for them.

Yesterday I did a bill payment and i got popup to apply add on card.. It asked me to enter applicant mobile number I added that but after that it started showing that session timedout... and its not showing that option again

what is there to progress... they had stopped giving add ons and they started giving them again... that too a very basic thing in CC world

I got HDFC addons for my mother. Now PayZapp is also declining Pixel saying "You already have HDFC credit cards". Looks like HDFC's system also isn't smart enough to differentiate between add-on cards and primary cards yet

Yes hdfc also has this problem.
I dont understand why banks create banking relationship for add on holder by taking aadhar and pan. Primary holder is responsible for anything, why not keep it that simple.

Take one doc,issue add on. Dont add card in add on holder app/netbanking amd cibil like sbi,indus etc...

Keep in mind that this add on counts as primary for maam, and 3 months wait applicable to maam also if she wants to upgrade cards

Btw is the 3 months time gap applicable for 2 add on cards too?

I strogly advise everyone not to rush into this immediately ..give it a week or two..otherwise your application will end up incomplete due to some technical issue ..it could further lead to more delays or time wasting.
Just let them settle with their this new roll out...and once it is settled you can happily apply and get your add-on.. it is not going to go away...

I don't think time gap applicable for 2 add ons.
Anyhow first apply most required one whenever live

I saw the option yesterday when I opened the app. Without thinking I closed the popup and then only realised that this was the add-on application option.

Yes, once taken removing that CC from Add on Profile is also very difficult. Add on Card is always an issue in Axis.

What version of the app are you on? Cuz someone mentioned that the app needs to be updated. Not sure if that is necessary.

And as asked above.. does the add on have any fees?

I am on iOS App version 10.0...

No fees for Add on card.

I have fought for 3-4 months on the same issue. No response from any Axis or CS or PNO. Even Technofino the issue was not know back then in 2022 (Refer Below Link). Finallly found it myself. The solution is pretty easy and many of them don't know (My take). Just visit the branch, and there will be a Axis Bank CRM, Open your profile and you can unlink the cards which are add on cards after closure.

Hi Everyone,

I have been facing add on card issues with Axis Bank. 4 years back my brother was offered with add on credit card by Axis bank and he took it without my knowledge on my name. He had given me the card as a surprise for me, then on I didn’t use it even for one transaction. He has 3 credit cards in total.

But this year when I am applying for Axis cards my card is getting rejected due to this add on card issue. As there is a limit of 3 credit cards and my brother having 3 cards, my application is getting rejected. 3 months back we have requested Axis bank customer care people...
