Applied multiple Credit Cards

Hi All,

I just applied for 3 multiple credit cards. My credit score is Experian = 844/900 and CIBIL = 784/900
How bad it is going to hit my score.

1. HDFC Regalia
2. OneCard from BOI
3. Zomato Classic Card

One after another (post approval) would have been a better approach.

Mine went down from 771 to 714 with just one enquiry from HDFC, and also it showed 100% credit utilisation for the HDFC credit card

I read somewhere enquiries on CIBIL are overrated. Had 6 enquiries last month and my score still moved up by 10 points 😀

Are you sure you checked your Cibil score?
From where did you check it?

OneScore and SBI, weird thing is that ,while Cibil took a huge hit, Experian only reduced to 799 from 803

Yes, even I have had instances where my score has gone up despite multiple enquiries and rejections. Weird algorithms they have!

What should I do (b'coz multiple applications will effect cibil score)?

Just chill out for a while. Axis knows that it won't sell the MyZone card without LTF offers. Just apply later, and till then find something else to put your time in.

Limited period.. but they will offer again in financial year end I think (Feb/mar)

It is still showing as chargeable.

Cibil was majorly impacted as hdfc enquired only cibil. Utilisation impacted both cibil and experian.

While applying.. in the last page It will show as ltf(zero annual fee), check with axis bank twitter handle once

Get it depending on your needs, not just because it is LTF. It may come back as LTF a few months later as well. If you have two axis cards, then think thrice as they issue only 3 cards normally. If you don't have any Axis cards, no harm applying unless you're really concerned about the temporary CIBIL drop.
