Does anyone want to join me? We 3 are already there in the plan. We are using 100GB (Max will use 150 GB in total). If anyone wants to join and pay 1/4th, I am happy to take on the 4th member.

Please try out, my knowledge is limited.
You are absolutely right. Organiser can decide what to or what not to share but irrespective of that any member can make iTune/App store/In App purchases which Organiser can’t restrict until the family members are minors. Not worth the headache.

Regarding iTune/App store/In App purchases, you mean that if I am the organiser, any family member in Apple One can use my balance for their own use?

Yes, if your family members don’t have their own Apple ID funds then it will be your funds which will get deducted. So beware. I have already faced this exact issue with my own family members on my Apple One. I would not recommend anyone to add strangers in their Apple ID family. One more point- You can’t control who will use how much storage!

That’s outright dangerous

Oh, thanks mate. I didn't know that. Regarding storage, if a person exceeds their limit, I can stop sharing the subscription with them. But yeah, Apple funds situation is dangerous then. Though it can be circumvented if I use upi to pay every month rather than add funds to the ID?

Are you up for keeping the tab on family members storage use monthly, restricting them and again granting them access (they have every right to ask you to do so because they are contributing ₹ equally)? Now coming to your circumventing point on UPI, by doing so you will be losing out on 10% to 15% bonus funds Apple will give you on adding to your ID during Deepawali. I usually load up 1 year worth of funds during the promotion.
Make a wise decision. Happy Independence Day Brother.

Storage use -> Give them some time to delete their files so that their storage is less than allocated to them. If they don't comply, remove them. Of course, this is for strangers and not for knowns/family.
Bonus funds -> Fair enough. Makes sense. BTW, I didn't know about the Diwali offer. Loaded 3200Rs into the wallet 2 days ago :face-with-head-bandage:

The main organizer can turn off Purchase sharing
