No. For any booking member should be there. Along with the member any number of rooms can be booked, I did for 5 rooms Along with member booking

I am sorry but unless I am misunderstanding and someone already pointed it out, you can only book rooms with yourself as the main person staying, you cannot book rooms (specially red hot deals and other offers or point redemptions) for others, without you (the account holder) showing up.
They more than often make sure the account holder is staying and check for your ID.

^^Just to add, I am speaking about the benefits of ALL Plus membership, you can book room for someone else but none of the benefits are applicable if you are not one of the person staying

Yes thats right but through grouping each one will get their own membership. From what im hearing its like this you refer 5 people and get your membership free so in that way folks can split up the amount
