Anyone else struggling to open a current account?

Hey folks,

I’ve been trying to open a current account for my sole proprietorship. I submitted all the usual docs (GST, Udyam, Aadhaar, PAN). Since my GST just got approved, I had only 30 days to give them account details.

It’s been more than a week now and despite talking to my RM and BM, nothing has moved forward. I keep hearing things are tightened because of account misuses, but honestly, I don’t think genuine customers should be stuck like this. In the end, I had to open an account with another bank, which did it quickly without any hassle.

Curious has anyone else faced this kind of delay recently? Did you stick it out or just move to another bank?

I recently opened HDFC current account for my HUF, it was delayed but my RM worked on it and opened an account within 2 weeks

Well RM isn't doing much. BM asking for alot of docs which usually doesn't need for this. For now i opened it in indian bank.
